Chitua Jemali started
his career as a sculptor early on in his life. He attended workshops with
such accomplished sculptors as Nesbit Mukombaranwa and Moses Masaya. Nicholas
Mukombaranwa was a strong influence in encouraging Jemali to become a professional
sculptor.
His work is very distinct, as he focuses on life’s experiences and incorporates
facial expressions that reflect the inner most feelings of our hearts.
Jemali’s highly acclaimed creative work has been exhibited internationally,
from Northern Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Canada to western United
States.
